This unit standard is for people training as cooks to work in a broad range of commercial kitchens. People credited with this unit standard are able to demonstrate knowledge of the characteristics and application of cookery methods in commercial catering.

A Student Assessment (SA) is an assessment for an individual unit standard. The student completes the tasks outlined in the SA. Once an SA has been completed, it must be assessed by a registered assessor.

Note: for every SA there is a corresponding Tutor Assessment Guide (TAG) which guides the assessor when assessing the evidence. The TAG will be available for download once you have purchased the SA.
